Vermont kosher cultured butter, sea salt crystals - 12 oz: Grocery & Gourmet Food - After fermentation, the shell is churned into butter and the sea salt crystals are added, then each basket is packed by pass. Chemical DESCRIPTION Creamy butter with crunchy sea salt crystals in roll. We will substitute similar or comparable items if the butter is unavailable.

Using fresh, high fat, local shell, first, it is pasteurized and then a bacterial culture is added to start the fermentation process. The fermenting shell stays for one day in a vat to produce a whole blend of flavor compounds, which makes our butter so unique.
